​Salem Announces Recipients of 2022 Entitlement Funds

The City of Salem annually receives HOME Investment Partnerships and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Salem and its local partners use these resources to implement a wide range of projects and activities to address homelessness, expand affordable housing, and provide supportive services.

Local projects selected to receive 2022 HOME funding:

  • Mid-Willamette Community Action Agency ARCHES Program, Tenant Based Rental Assistance: $300,000
  • St. Francis Shelter, Tenant Based Rental Assistance: $140,000
  • Applegate Landing, LLC, Applegate Terrace Apartments (48 rental units/Veteran focused): $600,000
  • DevNW, Macleay Subdivision (24 for-sale single family homes): $650,000
  • Community Development Partners, Gateway Salem (184 rental units): $650,000
  • City of Salem, HOME & CDBG Program Administration: $420,000
  • City of Salem, HOME Project Delivery: $20,000

Local Projects selected to receive 2022 CDBG funding:

  • Marion Polk Foodshare, Homeless Prevention Services for Seniors: $165,000
  • Marion Polk Foodshare, Youth Farm Development: $15,000
  • Center for Hope and Safety, HOPE Plaza (20 rental units): $50,000
  • Integrated Services for Living, Fisher Sizemore Apartment Rehabilitation (11 rental units): $300,000
  • Seed of Faith Ministries, CRAWL Facility Rehabilitation (transitional housing, food pantry, warming/cooling center/community services): $450,000
  • Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency, Wallace Early Learning Center (acquisition and rehabilitation): $700,000

Local Projects selected to receive 2022 City General Fund funding:

  • Marion Polk Foodshare, Bulk Food Procurement: $165,000
  • Northwest Human Services, Crisis and Information Hotline/Emergency Financial Services: $135,000
  • Salem Housing Authority, Homeless Encampment Outreach Services: $100,000
