Trail Realignment

contractor for Salem-Keizer School District 24J is currently realigning a section of the Skyline Trail that crosses through the Sprague High School property. The trail realignment is being completed in conjunction with other upgrades being made to the school. The realigned trail will terminate at the northeast corner of the School District property near Joplin Court S, leaving a short unimproved gap in the Skyline Trail.

Temporary Closure

The northeastern section of the trail is temporarily closed for construction. The City expects to reopen the trail after the new connection is made to a public sidewalk on Joplin Court S.

Next Steps: Sprague High School to Joplin Court S Connection

The City is currently preparing to develop a connection so that the realigned trail connects to a public sidewalk on Joplin Court S. The trail connection will be located within unopened public right-of-way originally dedicated for walkway purposes.
