Tiny Art featured in display, library dollhouse

Post Date:08/12/2022 4:31 PM

This summer, Salem youth were encouraged to stretch their artistic muscles and submit pieces of tiny art as part of the Read Beyond the Beaten Path Summer Reading Club. Tiny Art Gallery entries will be on display through September 4 in the Children's Corner on Floor 2 of the Main Library, 585 Liberty St. SE. The tiny art can also be enjoyed in an online Google Photos gallery.

A selection of Tiny Art pieces will also become a part of the library's newly remodeled dollhouse. Pieces will be shrunk down even further and added to the walls in various dollhouse rooms to be enjoyed by the public and by the doll families who live in the house.

Also through September 4, the community is invited to help name the 10 dolls living in the dollhouse. Voting is available in the Children's Corner and online through September 4.

Also, back by popular demand: the Dollhouse Seek-and-Find! Library visitors are encouraged to stop by the dollhouse each time they visit the Children’s Corner, and keep an eye out for new tiny art pieces as well as seasonal changes. New seasonal and counting items will be available for viewers to search for in and around the dollhouse and grounds throughout the year!
