Commercial Flights
Avelo Airlines offers non-stop commercial air service from Salem Municipal Airport to Las Vegas, NV and Los Angeles/Burbank, CA and Sonoma County/Santa Rosa, CA.
Avelo serves over 40 destinations across the U.S. from their bases at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR), Southern Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN), Orlando International Airport (MCO), the Delaware Valley’s Wilmington Airport (ILG), and Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).
Salem Municipal Airport (McNary Field) is owned and operated by the City of Salem. It is located approximately two miles from downtown Salem and is conveniently located at the juncture of Interstate 5 and State Highway 22. The 751-acre airport is home to more than 130 aircraft hangars and businesses, as well as the Oregon National Guard’s Army Aviation Support Facility. Avelo Airlines begins operating twice-weekly commercial flights from Salem to Las Vegas, NV and Los Angeles, CA (Burbank) beginning October 5, 2023. We are planning for continued development and activity at the Airport, guided in part by the Business Plan.
The Salem Municipal Airport is located two miles from downtown Salem, Oregon’s Capitol city with direct access to Interstate 5. Also known as McNary Field, the airport is named for U.S. Senator Charles McNary. The airport is home to an Army National Guard base with over 70 acres of industrial land available nearby.
