UPDATE: The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning this afternoon for Saturday, July 15, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. due to wind and low relative humidity in the mid-Willamette Valley. This combination of conditions can contribute to extreme fire behavior, potentially threatening life and property. Please use caution. Residents and visitors are strongly advised to exercise extra caution regarding potential ignition sources, particularly in grassy areas. While outdoor burning is not currently prohibited, it is strongly discouraged. The Fire Weather Watch signifies the forecasted occurrence of critical fire weather conditions. Stay up-to-date on the latest weather forecasts to remain vigilant for potential Red Flag Warnings. Timely information will offer further guidance on precautionary measures to protect the community from fire-related risks.
