8/25/23 - As of 8:00 pm all remaining evacuation advisories related to the Liberty Fire have been lifted. This decision comes after close consultation between officials from Salem Fire Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office . Fire officials will continue to monitor the area in the coming days.

8/24/23 - The Liberty Fire in South Salem remains 100% contained. Fire crews will remain on-site throughout the evening. Residents in the area are downgraded to a Level 1 - Be Ready in case weather conditions increase the risk of re-ignition.
