Make sure you are ready for any potential wildfire or disaster. Assemble an emergency supply kit now. Keep it easily accessible, so you can grab it quickly if you need to evacuate. Given that evacuations might extend over a substantial period, plan accordingly.

Equip each person with their own readily available emergency supply kit. Consider using backpacks for these items (excluding food and water), as they are swift to grab. Using a storage container or a wheeled chest for food and water can simplify transportation. Please make sure you can quickly load it into your vehicle.

Emergency Supply Checklist:

• Smoke-rated face masks or coverings

• A three-day supply of non-perishable food and three gallons of water per person

• A map with at least two evacuation routes marked

• Prescriptions or special medications

• Change of clothing

• Extra eyeglasses or contact lenses

• Additional car keys, credit cards, cash, or traveler's checks

• First aid kit

• Flashlight

• Battery-powered radio and extra batteries

• Sanitation supplies

• Copies of crucial documents (birth certificates, passports, etc.)

• Remember, pet food and water!

Additional Items to Grab if Time Permits:

• Easily portable valuables

• Family photographs and other irreplaceable items

• Personal computer data stored on hard drives and disks

• Chargers for cell phones, laptops, etc.

Nighttime Precautions:

Always keep a sturdy pair of shoes and a flashlight near your bed. These items are essential in case of a sudden nighttime evacuation.
