The community is invited to the second public workshop on the Our Salem project Wednesday, May 8 at the Court Street Christian Church, 1699 Court Street NE. The meeting will be from 6 to 8 p.m.

The public will get the opportunity to hear results from an analysis of the city's existing conditions and future scenarios for how Salem could grow. The results will be presented in a draft report card that looks at how Salem performs against 20 top indicators.

The results of Salem's first greenhouse gas emissions inventory will also be presented at the public workshop. A draft inventory is expected to be available May 8.

The public workshop is part of the first phase of the Our Salem project, which is a multi-year project to update the Salem Area Comprehensive Plan. This work will inform critical discussions and decisions about future growth in the Salem area.
