View Traffic Counts

A traffic count shows you how much traffic there is for specific locations around the City. This data helps the City to monitor traffic growth and to perform studies to help determine appropriate roadway design. It also helps to inform restrictions for lane or road closures.

Each marked site on the map takes into account both directions of traffic and reflects the total count for the location. Select a marked site to view details such as:

  • Date of the last count
  • Most recent count data
  • Historic count data
  • Which agency provided the count

The two location types on the map are station counts and miscellaneous counts. Station counts are performed at locations that the City plans to count periodically, ideally once every five years. Miscellaneous counts are requested and performed once with no intent to count again.
