The August 27 Capitol JAM is a community-sponsored event featuring local artists and vendors. The event will be centered at the newly completed Gerry Frank | Salem Rotary Amphitheater in downtown’s Riverfront Park. Capitol JAM will feature local artists providing music suitable for all ages. Capitol JAM will be presented totally free to the public.

Your generous donation will help offset our costs for presenting Capitol JAM to the community. These costs include sound and lighting equipment, artists compensation, security services, logistical and operational investments, marketing, and more. Every dollar we receive will be used specifically for Capitol JAM and will not be used for our own staff costs or for any of our other operating or maintenance activities. Any money left over after the event will be placed in a dedicated account that can only be used for future public events at Riverfront Park.

Your contribution of any amount is most welcome! We also have six named sponsor levels ranging from $250 to $10,000. Each level comes with a set of benefits for the sponsor as shown in the table.

If you are a business and able to contribute $250 or more, we would like an electronic copy of your logo so we can recognize your generosity through our social media platforms and the event’s home website.

Donate to Capitol Jam!

There are three ways to become a sponsor of Capitol JAM.

 1. Send us a check. Make your check payable to the “City of Salem” and indicate that you are contributing to “Capitol JAM” on the check and envelope. We will mail you a receipt for your contribution that you can use for tax purposes.

2. Come Visit us. You are welcome to visit our office, speak to a member of our staff, and drop off your contribution. The Public Works office is located on the third floor of City Hall in Room 325.

3. We'll come to you. If you are a business in the Salem area and are interested in being a sponsor, send us an email. We'll follow-up with you and arrange for one of our staff to come visit you at your place of business.

4. Request an invoice. For City of Salem utility customers only, contact us using this form and we will use the information you provide to send back to you an invoice. You can pay this invoice through your existing City of Salem Utility Customer account.
