Krishna Namburi, Deputy City Manager

Krishna Namburi is the Deputy City Manager for the City of Salem overseeing the Enterprise Services Department. Krishna brings over a decade of executive leadership in the Department Director role to local government. Her skillset involves transforming and leading organizations, helping departments achieve self-sufficiency, and most importantly, developing the professional and personal outcomes of her employees.

Her most notable achievement is realigning the strategy and operations of multiple departments to transform internal services from a reactive to a proactive facet of city government. These efforts have resulted in a sustained reduction of the long-term cost of ownership of government services.

Prior to embarking on a career in public service, Krishna worked as a senior consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers. She attended the Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur for an M.S. in Civil Engineering and Portland State University for an M.S. in Computer Science.

Outside her role with the City of Salem, Krishna is an active member of the Salem/Keizer community and a current Executive Board Member for Blanchet Catholic School. She has taught and mentored over one hundred high school and college students in various STEM academic subjects and career development efforts.
