McGilchrist Urban Renewal Area

The McGilchrist Urban Renewal Area (URA) provides funding to enhance McGilchrist Street SE in order to improve mobility and stimulate private development.

The McGilchrist URA was established in September 2006 and encompasses approximately 403 acres west of the Salem Municipal Airport (McNary Field).

Assessed values and key projects were determined when the urban renewal district was first established. Project plans are subject to change at the direction of the Urban Renewal Agency.
