- Multi-use sports field: baseball, softball, and soccer
- Skatepark (approximately 20,000 square foot)
- Playground (approximately 10,000 square foot)
- Splash pad (approximately 1,800 square foot)
- Enhanced bike park
- Single track bike trails
- Flexible open space
- Hard surface paths
- Soft surface trail
- Large dog park (approximately 1 acre)
- Small dog park (approximately 1/4 acre)
- Picnic shelters (4)
- Restrooms (2)
- Parking (40 stalls)
- Potential locations for public art and interpretative signage
Development of these park features will occur in phases.
Thank you for your participation! The master plan update process was a collaborative effort between community participants, City staff, and the project consultants. Community input and site conditions shaped each initial design option and the resulting final master plan. The master plan update process began in the spring of 2020 with public outreach and engagement consisting of user interviews, three online public open houses, and three online surveys. Refinements to the draft master plan were made based on input from the public, the Salem Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and Salem City Council.
