Library Meeting Rooms and Study Rooms

The Library offers facilities to perform research, select reading materials, spend time studying and writing, and to attend programs and meetings.

Study Rooms

The Salem Public Library has six general use study rooms (five at the Main Library and one at the West Salem Branch) that are available to the public free of charge during library open hours. Individuals and groups can reserve study rooms online, by phone, or at a Salem Public Library Ask Here Desk. A group or individual may use the study rooms for up to two hours, once per day. Study rooms can be reserved up to one week in advance on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations may be cancelled if a user has not arrived within 15 minutes after the start time. Recurring reservations are not permitted. Details regarding meeting and study room use are outlined in the Library's Meeting and Study Room Policy

All study room groups and users are subject to the Salem Public Library Code of Conduct (Administrative Rule No. 101-01), as well as local, state, or federal laws and regulations. Study rooms must be empty 15 minutes before the library closes.

Individuals and groups can reserve meeting rooms online, by phone, or at a Salem Public Library Ask Here Desk. Reservations can be made no more than six months and no fewer than seven days in advance. Details regarding meeting and study room use are outlined in the Library's Meeting and Study Room Policy.
