Genealogy Resources

Start your family history project using the genealogy resources available at Salem Public Library's Main Library, 585 Liberty ST SE. The library hosts the Willamette Valley Genealogical Society (WVGS) and their collection to assist users in this type of research.

WVGS volunteers are available to assist library users in person at no cost from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The WVGS Desk is located on Floor 1 of the Main Library, 585 Liberty St. SE. 

Willamette Valley Genealogical Society also hosts free programs of interest to genealogists, such as a speaker, seminar, or workshop. To learn more about WVGS and any plans for upcoming programs, visit their website.
