Databases provide quality, reliable information for research, and may include other resources such as images, maps, videos, biographical information, and science project ideas.

• Gale in Context - U.S. History
  Provides current and historical research on events in U.S. History
• Gale in Context - Elementary
  Information on current events, arts, sciences, health, people, government, sports, history, and more.
• Gale in Context - Middle School
  Provides social studies and social sciences information including world cultures, geography, and current events.
• Gale In Context - High School
  Search for general information in online reference books and magazines. Requires a Salem Public Library card.
• National Geographic Kids
• Articles on social sciences, animals, countries, endangered species, current events, and more.
• Opposing Viewpoints
  Research both sides of controversial topics.
• Oregon Digital
  A cultural heritage repository that brings together more than 500,000 digitized works from The University of Oregon and Oregon State University, including unique digitized and born-digital collections. This collaborative effort includes historic and modern photographs, manuscripts, publications, and more.
• The Oregon Encyclopedia
  An authoritative and free resource on all things Oregon. Available without a library card.
